Play Ball!

It was the first day of the season, so the kids, who ranged in age from 7 to 9, couldn't wait to get on the field. They came and they saw, but technically no one conquered: The coaches don't keep score until the kids get a little older, both to avoid hurt feelings and to focus on teaching fundamentals. But that didn't stop the feisty players on Woburn's Rock Hounds, Scrappers, Rattlers, Muck Dogs and Hot Rods from having a heckuva lot of fun.
